Canaan in the Desert is a branch of the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary. The branch was opened on the desert outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. This book describes, in the Sisters' own words, some of the challenging situations in which they repeatedly found themselves and the way in which they experienced the tender love of the Heavenly Father stooping to meet their every need - through His Holy Spirit, through His angels, and through wonderful people He used as His instruments. This book is about the burning desire of a group of sometimes helpless women, fired by love for Jesus, to do all they could for the glory of the Father in heaven.
