The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. (Psalm 118:6) Darkness covers the nations. Humanity is facing unprecedented times and dangers. If we are not on our guard, we will be dominated by fear. But there is Someone who understands our fear: Jesus. How wonderful it is to experience victory over fear in everyday life! In times of difficulty and in dangerous situations we can learn to speak out to Jesus these words of love: 'For You! For You!' This brings peace to our hearts and makes the bitter sweet. Surrendering to God's leadings brings us the sense of His presence which, in turn, banishes all our fear. Fear can only dominate us, if we exclude Jesus from our thought-world, or from our life of faith.

But then the Lord caused me to repent of this attitude, which boiled down to avoidance, even fear, of the cross.
